Murdoch and the conservatives have turned the media landscape into a battleground. The ABC and SBS are being devalued as institutions. Fairfax doesn’t exist anymore.

Earth News is a new concept to create a news channel in the glaring reflection of our competitors. This project is about articulating a strong vision for a healthy Australian society in the 21st century. The concept is simple: Earth News will provide a news platform to people on the progressive side of politics. We want to proudly articulate and present progressive viewpoints based on science and evidence, to a mainstream Australian audience. This involves spreading messages and visions for what a healthy Australian society can and should look like in the twenty-first century, and how we can get there.
